Art Opening

Join us for a special exhibition of paintings and drawings by Maine artist (and Larkin’s father) Bruce Bulger, presenting decades of work inspired by Mount Katahdin. Through shifting seasons and light, Bruce captures the mountain’s grandeur, solitude, and ever-changing character with a deep sense of place and reverence.

Katahdin—Maine’s highest peak—has long been a muse for artists, adventurers, and dreamers. For the Larkin and the entire Bulger family, it holds a particularly special meaning, as a place of shared hikes, inspiration, and reflection. This show honors not only Bruce’s lifelong artistic engagement with Katahdin, but also its significance to Larkin, whose love for Maine’s wild beauty continues to inspire.

The show is being held at the Parish House in Deer Isle Village. The opening reception will be held Friday, August 29 from 4pm- 7pm. The show will be open through the weekend or available by appointment. For inquiries to purchase originals or prints - please call Bruce at 207-812-1103.
